Southwest Colorado Riparian Restoration Workshop

Brought to you by the Tamarisk Coalition, this workshop will equip river restoration enthusiasts with tips and tricks for better managing riparian areas in the Four Corners area.
 
The Basics: Check-in begins and 8:30 am at Ft. Lewis College (Colorado Room in the Student Union Building) and we'll finish up by 5:00pm at Waterfall Ranch. You are responsible for getting yourself to the field site (~20 minutes).

Harvesting Aspen's Rainwater

In celebration of Colorado's new rainwater collection law, the City of Aspen and RFC are hosting Aspen's first rain barrel workshop!
 

Grand Mesa Wildflower Walk

On July 1st, Dr. Stephen Stern will lead a wildflower walk at the Grand Mesa Visitor's Center in collaboration with the US Forest Service. Come and enjoy the cool temperatures. No botanical knowledge is required and all are welcome. The walk will be at the Grand Mesa Visitor's Center from 2-3 pm on July 1st.  Registration is not required.

North Star Roaring Fork River Float

Interested in floating the gentle Roaring Fork River through some of the most important wildlife habitat in the upper Roaring Fork Valley? Join staff from Pitkin County Open Space & Trails and Roaring Fork Conservancy (RFC) for an interpretive float through North Star Open Space. RFC will provide the history of North Star, point out wildlife, and discuss recent restoration activities along this mild two-hour float.
 
Floats are dependent on river flows and may be canceled due to extremely high or low flows.
