Northwest Colorado Outdoor Stewardship Summit

Calling all Colorado-based outdoor stewardship organizations and land managers!  On July 19th from 1pm-4pm, join Tamarisk Coalition and the Colorado Outdoor Stewardship Coalition, for a local summit on the Colorado Outdoor Stewardship Coalition’s new Statewide Stewardship Initiative.

The initiative, which is funded by Great Outdoors Colorado, seeks to increase the number, impact, and diversity of volunteer-led land stewardship efforts. This will be your best opportunity learn about and — more importantly — help shape this ambitious project. With your feedback, we can lay the foundation for a game-changing new approach to volunteer conservation efforts.

To improve the management and care of our state's precious public lands, the Statewide Stewardship Initiative aims to:
  • Create a statewide Outdoor Stewardship Organization (OSO) asset database for outdoor stewardship organizations, and accessible by land managers;
  • Establish a set of standards that define OSO best practices;
  • Define uniform stewardship metrics and organizational data reporting standards to improve project impact evaluation; and
  • Plan three large-scale stewardship demonstration projects to serve as models for effective land stewardship projects within the state and across the country.
Please RSVP now for this highly interactive session.

Tamarisk Coalition's

mission is to advance the restoration of riparian lands through collaboration, education, and technical assistance.
