Partnerships We Support

The work we do and our large geographic expanse requires building and maintaining strong relationships with all of our partners including individuals, agencies and organizations such as local, state, federal and tribal governments; land managers, private citizens, watershed groups, universities, nonprofit organizations, and foundations. We recognize that these audiences are diverse and have unique goals from each other and work to bridge relationships with a broad spectrum of individuals and organizations.

We believe riparian restoration must be accomplished with respect for biodiversity and ecosystem integrity, existing water laws, property rights, cultural and social values, and livelihoods. To that end we encourage the building and augmenting of one-to-one relationships, collaboration, and support the creation of collaborative, landscape-scale partnerships.

An important function of our organization is to support collaborative restoration partnerships. While our role in these partnerships can vary, our dedication to helping these groups be effective and successful does not waiver.

Our objective is to support local and community-based organizations that are best positioned to conduct, coordinate, and sustain riparian restoration efforts through capacity building, technical assistance, education, and information sharing.

"The Tamarisk Coalition is a very effective organization. As a consultant working in the natural resource field, my opinion is that they are top notch! Their staff is extremely caring and competent, and they work well with scores and scores of non-profits, businesses, governments and other stakeholders. Specifically, their work with the Dolores River Restoration Partnership is notable and is helping to restore an entire river corridor to a more natural, healthy status."
