Education

Education and outreach are two major components of the Tamarisk Coalition's mission.

Newsletters

Our bimonthly newsletter often gets pushed to the backburner when projects are piling up, but we do our best to keep our members, partners, and public updated on our current affairs!

Research Conferences and Symposia

Each year we organize and host either a tamarisk Research Conference or Symposium to challenge researchers and land managers to work together to find solutions.

Volunteer Program

Our volunteers are educated in virtrually every aspect of the tamarisk issue. They receive onsite training in tamarisk removal, revegetation, and monitoring. Additionally, project leaders spend a lot of time answering question and discussing the impacts of tamarisk, the importance of riparian restoration, and the processes involved. An educational poster has been placed at the trailhead of one of our first projects.
